Adding a New BMP

Use the Site Detail page to add storm‑water structures to a property and configure their components and deficiencies.

Add the BMP

1. Click Add BMP above the list of BMP cards.
2. Choose the appropriate Type and save. The new BMP appears in the list.
3. Open the BMP’s menu and select Edit to open the BMP Detail page.

Add Components

1. In the Configuration view, locate the Components section and click Add Component.
2. Provide a name and any relevant notes. Components represent physical parts like outlet pipes or inlets.
3. Save each component. Repeat for all parts that require tracking.

Add Deficiencies

1. While editing a component, click Add Deficiency to log problems discovered during inspections.
2. Enter a description and choose a status or severity if available.
3. Save the deficiency. It will appear under the component and can be addressed in future service entries.

Properly configured components and deficiencies help ensure inspections capture all maintenance needs for the BMP.
